This Panasonic RQ-SX11 has been brought back to life again with a re-belt. The heads, capstans and rollers were all cleaned. The head unit has also been demagnetised too.

This item may be ~16 years old but it is in excellent condition. I cannot see any scuffs or scrapes on the metal case at all. There are a couple of extremely light scratches on the plastic trim, but these are barely noticeable. The RQ-SX11 also features a slide down door allowing easy inserting and removal of cassettes.

Acoustically, there are no issues. Dolby, S-XBS, and TRAIN all function as intended. Unlike later Panasonic models the S-XBS switch is located on the unit and not on the headphones. The RQ-SX11 has a loud amplifier at 5mW per channel. The S-XBS works perfectly and Bass is delivered in spades when it is activated.
