kerni99 - 2011-08-28 23:09

Wow, what a price for a Walkman:

www.ebay.de/itm/SONY-WM-701T-T...;hash=item19c867e27d

Did anyone see a more expensive?

corry - 2011-08-28 23:16

the price is much to high for not working 701-T !!! i know this walkman is ultra rare but i think nobody will give a bid with startprice 2400€.

But maybe i will get this walkman

i have very nice stuff for swap !!!

Another one trying to start a retirement fund. Good luck friend...

it doesn't look to be in the best shape. looks like the siver plate is coming off in the corner in the one photo. Just because someone ask a lot for something doesn't mean they will get it. I bet it doesn't sell.

About 4 or 5  years ago a tpls2 went for €3000 or so, it was new in the box!!

kingrat2010 - 2011-09-01 07:42

What would you prefer to buy : This Sony 701T or Fully Working Boxed DD9??

radio.raheem - 2011-09-01 16:15

I could of had a fully working boxed dd9 a couple of years ago...it only sold for £300...a much more realistical price....to your qestion..i would rather a boxed dd9....

the sony in this auction isn't that special...i have one..but of course it's not boxed..

minty - 2011-09-01 16:25

This is a 701T, not a 701S which is almost identical. There were only 250 701T's made. Anything associated with Tiffany is very sought after. I would love one myself, but this one is over priced. 1200-1500 euro would be more realistic in my view.

radio.raheem - 2011-09-02 17:30

I can understand your interest as a collector...but t..s dosent realy bother me...it still probbly needs a full workover...who is tiffany anyway???if it was owned or had a name like bob marly accosiated with it,,i could understand...only my view though..

I used to work at sony. Putting together big screen tv's back in the day. It was funny how cheaply the parts were made. The stickers on the back of the tv's said "assembled in the usa with foreign and domestic parts" All Of the parts I saw going into the were made in china. I am wondering if the screws were domestic?  A lot of the tv's had to be pulled off the line for repairs. I remember the one started smoking in the assembly line and they had to unplug the unit right away. They had an area were all defective tv's went for repair before they were put back on the line.

tell us more...i have always dabbled in electronics...never was any good though....tv's blowing up at the get go...sounds as bad as apple products..

I think that's really sickening. Just remember that a huge percentage of people on this planet don't have enough food or water, let alone a roof above their heads...
