I'll be honest, that's quite a profit you're making there Corry. If you look at old posts you'll see that anyone who was able to buy these when they were available paid no more than £20 a piece.
Other than for the fact that these are hard to find, I'm sure many of us here would be intrigued to know how you can justify this price?
Sounds to me like you're exploiting the situation !!!

i can get a wheel for my skyline for that , without a tyre of course

Ebay seller Artin looks OK to me, he has one DD for sale, how does this mean you can sell a DD wheel at 800% profit?
Corry, Stereo2Go is a community forum where like minded people get together and share information and help eachother out. We do NOT tolerate sellers who are only interested in making a profit out of their fellow members.

Try this Corry. Every year Wimbledon hosts the biggest Tennis tournament in the world. In the UK there is a problem with Touts buying all the tickets for their correct price as soon as they go on sale then selling them back to tennis fans at a 2000% profit. Imagine if those people were tennis fans, how odd do you think that would look? How would people in the tennis community feel about those people?

Let's leave this one here.
I was wondering, have you managed to buy any of these parts over the last five years? I managed to buy 10 about 6 years ago and have three left. Which I'd love to sell for €150 a piece but I'd happily give to anyone who has a genuine need.

Hi,
Excuse me if I'm in this conversation. I have to say that I find Corry's offer a bit high, but not as high as you suggest.
I have bought some DD33 and I don't remember anyone had a price lower than 40-50 euros (I'm talking about very good condition units). And all of them have the "click" problem.
I didn't even know that this part were available anywhere for buy, and my technician told me some times that he can not find any (he is an old man that knows nothing about computers or internet) for repair my faulty units.
So considering the price of the walkman, the part itself + shipping + time and skills for repairing, I don't find it so high...
Well, it's only my opinion.
BTW, AgentOrange, on some of those websites tell that is for D3 and DC2. Do you know if it also works for DD30, DD33, DD100 or any other model?
Thanks!

does it really matter how much he is selling this for!!! no one needs to buy it !! it is an open market !!
ao - 2011-11-14 06:10
My response wasn't so much about the price as the justification behind the mark up.
ao - 2011-11-14 07:03
Hurodal, I know it's not terribly cler but if you read the text on my boxes (above pic) you'll see it says DD100, DD33, DC2 & another one, can't quite read it from here so yes. The WM-2 is different, I know that much.

Is tim jarman still in the walkman trade cris? He did the gear on my dd33. It`s still chugging on.
ao - 2011-11-25 00:39
Not heard from Tim for a while, but yeah, he was gifted to say the least. Last time I saw him was when he & I did the Radio 4 thing. He could change the belt on a WM-2 in under a minute, screws n'all
litfan - 2011-11-25 14:11
I`d rather not know, what he does in his spare time cris .
hollow.earth - 2014-02-28 08:08
I'm just looking at getting my old DD33 repaired. A pal has got the gear out. I have two of these machines.
Does this technique work? Looks like it might not.

Or does anyone have a gear for sale? (followed the links upstream and they are not in stock)
Please advise. Many thanks!
