I mention it as some of the items on there were mine, notably the TPS-L2, the apple peeler, the Apple newton PDA and the answer machine.  Not wanting to brag

About 4 years ago a tpls2 went for over €3000, was NIB and the 701T, they go for €2400, when one show up, took me 8 years to find one and wasn't working, needed a new belt, but these were only given to celebrities, so fetch alot of money. The regular 701c is the same unit different casing, 701T or 701S is only for display and can't really touch it, or use it, as silver oxidized and have to keep it very clean.

thats amazing --

i have a dozen or so old classic metal walkmans -

prolly paid US$100 or less on average --

never thought these sold for that much -

even the best boomboxes dont get that far $$ up there

Those were the good days, use to always go to thriftstores and garage sales, or meets, all the time, finding metal walkmans, tape recorders and good boomboxs for $5 to $20  bucks, camcorder for $20 bucks some flagship models and just traded or got some stuff for free even. Now everything overpriced, even thriftstores charges $75 for a crap box just because it has a cd player, or component stereo system for $150 that doesn't even work. Most of the stuff doesn't hit the floor, goes to eBay now.

Thanks Nak, I knew someone would appreciate it.  They were good actually, sent stuff back in perfect fettle.  Same production company that do The Gadget Show & they've had a lot of my crap come through their doors too.

nak.d - 2011-12-19 01:16

I remember! Personallly not sure how anybody could call your stuff boring, it's fantastic, some items I'm sure would fit into the asperational thoughts of many. Taking of which (bit off topic) how's the stereo search coming along?

ao - 2011-12-19 02:30
