Hi I was checking the internet before i posted my HS-J900 for sale on ebay Let me know if you are interested before i list it i am attaching the photos of the unit originally purchase at Glendale Galleria around 1990. it is in mint condition. it was services in 1995 at RTV service in west hollywood the unit plays , records perfectly I have not used it in over 7 years. It includes the original BOX, headphones, mic, case, 2 rechargable batteries, AAA tray, manual. let me know thanks

Low sound means that it has bad capacitors and has nothing to do with the head, like you said in your auction!! It a very well known problem with theses AIWA's and sometime electrolytic eats thru the traces on the PCB making it harder to repair and sometimes not repairable if it eat thur IC leads and ETC. In that condition you lucky to get anything for it. As most techs won't be able to fix the problem, only the very experience.

 

Only made the high offer before reading that a while ago, but now that I read the whole listing, changed offer. You have to make it more clear to others that the unit does has problems, "You just put maybe heads dirty" which is "misleading advertisement", otherwise your going to get someone to buy it, or make a high offer to then realize it has major issues, or unrepairable and risk a negative feedback and Paypal case.
