SONY  WM-DDIII with Owner Manuals

This is one of the later Walkman in the Direct Drive ( DD) series which have NO BELT this model mfg. in 1987/1988.   Sony WM-DDIII (3) in the very hard to find beautiful RED METALLIC color and full metal body.   This player has been completely serviced November 2010 by a member of www.stereo2go.com forum Renzgi.   Player was dissembled, cleaned, lubricated, adjusted and center gear repaired. Comes with BOTH ORIGINAL OWNER MANUALS covering 6 languages
( English, Francais, Espanol, Deutsch, Nederlands, Svenska ).

MECHANICAL CONDITION
 The player functions 100% correctly all features and has a strong amplifier better than most at 20 mW + 20 mW which is 2-3 times what most Walkman produce.  I have often used this player.  Excellent sound.  Serial number #2117XX.   The cloth battery pull out strap is missing.  The battery area is completely free of any battery corrosion and contacts have excellent chrome finish.  Player has head demagnetized with Nakamichi Wand and head cleaned last week.              Please see video below.

COSMETIC CONDITION
  The DDIII came only in Black , Silver and the RARE RED metallic color.  This player is 9.5 out of 10 cosmetically.  No dents, nicks in metal or noticeable marks of any kind except very small silver showing on the front bottom right corner edge , rear bottom left corner edge, a very very small silver showing door latch side just below first ridge from the top and a miniscule mark on edge near vol. dial on top ( 4 total).  Let the photos be your judge of condition.  The plastic window is clear not yellowed and has no marks. This truly is a  stunning example of this classic traditional  square edged design.   A note on color appearance.  Different lighting can evoke from an intense red metallic to a subdued slightly metallic pinkish red on this beautiful WM-DDIII.  Photos taken with BRIGHT Sunlight, Flash and Incandescent indoor lighting.
