The tuner scales from FM 87.90 - 107.90 AM 530khz - 1670khz, looks to be US version, as didn't have to unlock it

Retro, has the azimuth been tested?

It still seem align, head has no noticeable wear, nice and shiny still, doesn't look like it's seen much use.  But is one of those walkmans with fixed azimuth, that once the head start to wear, their no way to adjust the azimuth, so then your SOL, unless you have a spare head, don't still get why they when over to this design?

Here how the fixed azimuth looks, a closeup of the head, they even did this on the wm-701c without the radio.

Me too, although it's a shame the amp is a bit weedy in the F701C.

Maybe because most companies went over to fixed azimuth to save on the expense of hiring someone to manually adjust every head before the unit left the factory.

Yep I know, just sucks that they did that, as have a few others sitting around due to needs new head assy.
