I sell the extremely rare AM-FM CTP-1A tuner pack from Sony.

Comes in original box with case and Japanese manual .
It has very minimal signs of use. But there is one spot where was cleaned.
(See above the letters "TV")

But I have to say , I need 130 EUR for it with free shippng.

That part is very rare and was only sold in Japan.
So if you are willing to pay as much, does not think long .Such a opportunity does not come often .

We to add  the super rare WM-R55 to list.
However, only in the Japanese version.

I bought a Europe version, unfortunately
 that has no contacts inside. Only empty holes.

That is the reason ,why I'm selling the tuner pack.

Units with tuner pack are ALL Japanese Domestic Market JDM release only.

I would kill to have the pack your selling as I only have 2 CTP-1A for the 3 Japanese release tuner pack players I have.  Exchange rate and my struggling financial position dont allow me to take advantage of your selling this.   I did not know the WM-R55 had a JDM release version with the tuner.

While I've got you, all Sony collectors, check your decks for these contact points, there must be more models that took this radio unit.

I agree AO as i said and requested on my topic link that Renalto quoted above there must be other models in the 84-87 period with contacts inside for the Sony tuner pack.  Also I just finally found in my files a photo of a WM-800 WITH the CTP-1A Tuner pack in the player and showing the unique to JDM ( Japanese Domestic Market) A side door with indented right side allowing tuning of tuner dial on tuner pack when in player.

I did find on the internet a photo of a unusual JDM WM-W800 not a full body in red but the A door is completely in RED plastic... most unusual.  It has the Tuner pack indented A side door.

This is the same as mine,John.  Also one on e bay now with one silver door and the am fm japan sticker still on it!

Well dbxS you have on top of a very rare model the W800 with Tuner pack but you have the Red door.   A top drawer ultra rare collectable.  Lucky guy.  I notice you use dbx in your name are you into the older orig. 80's dbx equipment ?   I have the only two Walkman players that came with dbx decoders built in and the dbx stand alone decoder a portable unit for use with any cassette player.   I have several dbx pieces of equipment and good size collection of original dbx encoded vinyl discs.  PM me sometime if you would like to talk about dbx.
