TOSHIBA Walkman KT-AS1 Boxed. Brand NEW in BOX

walkman.archive - 2013-02-20 03:25

I'm offering a retro Toshiba KT-AS1 Walkman. It was one of the most featured walkmans of the brand at the time.

It has the following features:

- Auto-reverse
- Dolby B Noise reduction
- Normal-CrO2/Metal selector
- Battery LED
- Made in Japan
- Serial no.: 4860001260

It's a very special model for collectors, almost impossible to find (it's the only one I saw in eBay in last two years).

STATUS: PARTIAL WORKING: It can play a tape in forward direction properly, and it sounds pretty good. FF and REW works ok. In reverse direction it doesn't play properly, as an internal sound (click-click) appears. So there's something wrong in reverse direction.

Radio works perfectly.

Cosmetically the unit is absolutely new. Only the two upper switches are broken (Tape selection and Dolby). My fault: it was me trying to open and see the internal problem. One of them (Dolby) is now carefully fixed. For details, see the photos.
NOTE: The two broken switches are not seen in photos (it occured after taking them).

INCLUDES:  What you see in the pictures.

Price: 449$ / 339€. I consider serious offers also.

Mmmmm, makes me wonder what my NIB KT-S1 would be worth!!

Sure, walkgirl. The S1 should be indeed an interesting model. Is it just "S1" or AS1 or RS1?

KT-S1

It's really a time-capsule. I see that it's more the previous generation than a low featured model.

Keep it, looks interesting!
