Maxim your collection is superb. I have to ask about the sticker on this model. Is that original?

I know Sony produced the Beta VCR in Hi Fi and it resembles that sticker. If not why would Sony put "beta" on it's Walkman?

Something about this model intrigues me. I don't know what exactly...

BETA HI-FI FM is limited series with new FM modul, so it is original factory sticker, all I know is  that some experimental components was in this series which sounded more "likely HI-FI", please correct me if I'm wrong with termins....

in japan 76-90 Mhz

but here is full range 76-108, so hope somebody got more info about it and can put it in post...

This clears it up a bit. I did notice the FM band at 90 Mhz. Thanks!

76 to 90 is  japanese standart fm range

76 to 108 was for another markets, but it is not main point

since radio modiles was integrated into walkmans - final product was kind of compromise combined in small body, in 1986-1987 was made new smaller components, so what we can see in this item now is some ingeneers or marketing tryings, they test it at market, I think, so customers with **HIFI ears" will buy more walkmans with radio, without regrets.
