Sony WM-701t Tiffany Walkman sale continued
ao - 2013-04-25 21:59
Guys, please read...
Last week's seller claiming to have a WM-701T Tiffany&Co walkman may not be as he seems.
I closed the thread as it was clear to me that the Walkman doesn't exist. The seller PM'd me in protest and I told him I would reopen the post if he could provide me with evidence inc photographs, needless to say I've not heard back from him. I last spoke to him yesterday morning and now feel I have given him ample opportunity to reply.
He might be legit but it just doesn't ring true to me.

I saw this guy's post last week. His pics were identical to someone's photo's from about 6 moths ago. If I'm correct, the Walkman photos of the limited edition Tiffany's Walkman had the silver colour rubbed off the edges on one side from being in someone's pocket. it also included a description that it had belonged to a famous music producer from New York when it was new. I think this guy may have copied and pasted the pics from wherever I saw them and could be trying to make a false sale. Send him your money and address and he'll send you a xerox copy of the pics he used.

This is strange.
Warning heeded. Sounds like a blatant scam
corry - 2013-04-25 23:47
Got he's mail address: ---editted----
plop - 2013-04-26 00:24
He probably read a post made by you where you posted up your email address, and invited response. For example this recent one.

If I'm wrong then I'll be the first to admit it but the evidence doesn't look good.

If I'm wrong then I'm sorry but you must admit that it seems odd that you can fail to provide us with pictures of the walkman.
blackjap80 - 2013-04-26 05:07

*ahem* the following is somewhat humdrum, yet: doesn't the present thread suggest that sales need minimum rules? the bare minimum, just to avoid the wild west and/or the witch hunt scenario
blackjap80 - 2013-04-26 05:33

blackjap80 - 2013-04-26 07:09
Yes I admit and sorry that I didnt introduce myself nor present this 701T with any representation! Please bare with me til I actually recieve it and make a beautiful presentation of the 701T.
ao - 2013-04-26 08:45
OK, many thanks for posting the pictures. Please excuse my initial caution, the item appears legitimate. I think anyone serious about buying this walkman would like a picture of the label showing that this is in fact a 701T.
nickfish - 2013-04-26 09:02
Watch it folks. If this is anything to do with Armitag, AKA Artin179 there have been many issues discussed on here before and I have had some items that were not as described and in poor condition. I have no doubt he gets hold of some great stuff but caution is advised.
blackjap80 - 2013-04-26 09:08
It says WM-701T in the above attached pic!
joeybinky - 2013-04-26 10:32

look at the bright side: this is the best soap-opera/saga thread so far, full of twists, deaths and resurrections & predictable alternate endings

Ahh, so you don't actually have it in your possession?
What could possibly go wrong here? Please guys, form an orderly queue behind Corry.
My business is done here, you guys make your own minds up. Your buying something from someone who doesn't have it yet and has zero detail of the condition. Hmmm.
Good luck everyone

Rare for Anybody to come into a 'niche' website to sell something that they dont have in their possession to begin with!
Most people selling stuff allready have 'it' in their possession from the beginning, so your 'pre-sale' has been flawed from the beginning.
Maybe Once you have this in your hands, you could start a new sale's thread, here, with fresh Million dollar pictures, Clear and Precise for such a High Dollar item.
Fuzzy pictures and 'it' being rotated on a table in a little video without being on a pad to preserve the integrity of the wooden box from getting more scratched, is not a good view to the collector's out there.
Hope to see Six side's of this walkman in picture's as well at Six side picture's of the wooden box, Plus One each Picture of the inside or additional internal views of each individual item's in fine detail, having these pictures will garner the best offer.
Finally have a operating video of this playing a cassette via headphone's next to the mic seen in the video, would be most helpful.
Peace.

just curious --i dont know walkman prices ..
is this model the absolute #1 holy grail in the world of walkmans --??
if mint --and factory complete
would its value be like an NIB GF1000 or NIB M90 of the boomer world ?
Best of my knowledge it's the Least produced or manufactured model of Sony Walkman, therefore in Mint condition; ( Since it was Never sold initially to the general public ) & ( only presented to certain people as a gift from Sony ) It could surpass a nib m90 in price.

google: JVC RC-M90 everybody should have One of this model of boombox sometime in their life and if 'they have' Never experienced One - You are simply Missing out on ( 'nearly' - this will start a argument ) the Best battery operated Portable Stereo Cassette playing Radio shortwave boombox to be ever manufactured
nak.d - 2013-04-27 10:39
In this instance, I think NIB = New In Box. The M90 Part
is a JVC M90.

Come on dude. I lived in Okinawa for 5yrs.and traveled all over Asia. My father and mother had Sony products before I was born.My father has alot stereo componets, collection of sony walkmans including the ex 808hg when my mother went back to japan in the early 90sAnd yes I have a Sony D6c, ex 707. And my sister even had a Ex verision walkman, And many other Sony products. Even technics sl1300 turntables nib. And a lot of us based Walkman. I have Sony everything I mean everything. I love Sony and was never into Jvc and not so big into boomboxes like that. My father collected Sony as he he stationed in Japan 3 times and my mother goes back every year. You obviously didn't read above !
