Kristi, I think Gedcom is looking for some walkmans to start a collection rather than pics of RX-1946 ports.
Believe us, we are doing all we can to find the Panasonic for you, I have my sentinals scouring the Tibetan wastelands & the Alaskan wilderness as we speak.
Gedcom, can I suggest you find a unit you really like then go after it (providing it isn't a Panasonic RX-1924) as 'collections' tend to be units coleectors can't fix. Often we see 'collections' on eBay, these are usually 'odd' units or with pieces missing.
Let us know what you have in mind.

Unfortunately there are no vintage players here, they were veeeeeeeeeeeery rare thing in 80's here. So it is about stupid thing to find it here in Russia, unfortunately, and now thanks to Nicolle I'm in walkman rush

Oh yes, sylke, sure. Would never argue, especially when I pay 16.90 usd for 5 dollar walkman from USA or 18.95 euros for 11 euro walkman from Netherlands. But the biggest fun is when you paid 18.95+11 euros and received nothing, yes real fun.
Unfortunately there are no walkmans here in Russia, they were too expencive in 80-s for Russians, and I have to buy them abroad...
You are right, it's more fun to collect them one by one!!

are you still looking? I have to agree with the earlier post; if you buy a "collection" you would be buying a collector's trash. Just yesterday I got a box of 22 walkmans (ebay). Most do work, but are less than what you would expect a walkman to sound like. I'm sure they are a collector's cast-offs. I was hoping they would be a bunch of walkmans from a misc. junk seller. Some of the cool old ones (sanyo sportsters) don't work. Maybe they just need a belt. About 10 of them were 90's black "price point" (cheap, chinese made) walkmans. I don't know if I could pick out ONE that works perfectly. My meger collection of 5 before that--every one works perfect; including a beautiful Sony WM-1 I found in a thrift store for $3! I was a bit discoraged with this recent shot-gun approach purchase, however I knew going in I wasn't paying more than $2 (U.S.$)each, and I just wanted some machines to play with without spending a fortune. I really need to go through my collection and catalog them now. I am now debating whether to keep and fix, or sell off.
I do have a JVC CX-7 but he needs belt...
