These recorders just about qualify as personal stereos in terms of their size, although they were not invented for personal entertainment in the manner of a Walkman! I am looking for a Nagra SN or SNN miniature tape recorder in full working order - but would consider any member of the SN group of recorders including the SNS and SNST. Anyone who has one to dispose of, could we please discuss in detail? Many thanks for any replies.

Thank you JohnEdward - there is stiff competition for the one in Germany and I am cautious when there are language barriers - but I will keep looking; I think patience is the key here; I am determined to find one eventually. Thank you again for posting those links.
Your most welcome. I must admit never knew of these players nor the out of this world high prices paid. the Nagra IV went for just under $3,000 wow. Good luck to you. Glad I dont collect those items.
The SN, which was the model I am most interested in (actually an SN, SNN, SNS or SNST-R), went for about £650 which is not at all bad; the price was not an issue, rather that it was located abroad and if possible I like to buy from local sellers as it is easier to build up the sort of dialogue that helps one to form a view as to the genuineness of the other party (and the fact that there are sometimes customs duties to pay on items imported from abroad). Therefore I am prima facie looking in the UK, but as these recorders are so rare, I must keep an open mind and consider virtually every item that becomes available.
