Greetings my fellow walkman collectors. So here is my problem. Recently (back in March actually) i sent my beloved jx-3000 of to be repaired. It was received and successfully repaired. Unfortunately it has gone missing in the post on its return journey. No tracking number, so i have no idea where its ended up. To say i am dissapointed would be an understatement. I paid top dollar for that unit. Luckily i kept the box and accessorise.
Anyway, has anyone got one they may be willing to sell. I only require the unit and battery box. I would be willing to pay $200 for a nice clean one, working or not. Alternatively, i have a really nice panasonic rq-s60 boxed in mint condition i would be willing to swap. I also have a sharp jc-k99 i could swap. I am desperate, so i may offer both units as a swap. If anyone is interested please let me know. Thanks!
So sorry to hear this Derek, you must be pulling your hair out over this one. Your offer is very fair but can i urge you to keep an eye on eBay DE as they show up quite often.
I could cry over it. But whats the point. These things happen. I have been searching ebay germany for a few months now without any luck. If anyone comes accross one on the net, i would really appreciate it if you could let me know. Thanks!
Will do.
Greetings all. At long last, my JX-3000 has arrived after nearly six months. DrMR2000 skillfully repaired the unit for me, and what a fine job he has done. He is a legend. The unit now works as it would have done when it was first purchased. I would like to thank him for all his help. Seems the unit was held up in customs. But it was worth the wait.
It is another example of how helpful S2G is for all of us walkman collectors. Cheers!
Superb news, did you find the cause of the delay?
A great ending.

Customs held the parcel for some reason. Anyway, good things come to those who wait!
They must have like that unit for some reason the other units that we traded got there in 7-11 days no taxes, which they were worth alot more. This one they sent it back the first time after I agrue, after they held it for some time, they left nethier notice's for a duty tax, Then I sent it back again and they were going to hold it again? They wanted to charge a duty tax again, so "Derek" got the notice this time and had to show proof that it was his and not a purchase item, so they don't charge him.
They must have saw the color being it was gold in color or something.
