Aiwa HS-PX or JX series Boxed

martymcfly - 2013-06-19 15:48

I am so tired of buying broken or half working walkmans on ebay.  I am looking for a boxed new Aiwa HS-JX or PX series walkman.  JX101, PX-101, PX303, JX707 or my holly grail the JX505.  I know these won't be cheep but they are a must.  If you have an extra or want to get ride of a few please contact me.  Also a New in the box Toshiba KT-4056 or KT4066 this on is personal as I had these when I was 13 I am tired of the ones on ebay falling apart.

Thank you

Bryan or Marty McFly

You would be deluding yourself and bruising your wallet if you think that buying a boxed early 90s AIWA is a guarantee that it is not going to have problems.

Pretty much all those models listed above from that era suffered capacitor issues, and will need repair sooner rather than later.

The JX707 had some mechanical design flaws in addition to the capacitors and mushy belts. So even new out of the box, they too would likely fail due to those reasons.

Better to get one that has been serviced by a reputable technician than buy some so called mint example in a box.

It is more a scratching problem for me, I have purchased a few new Aiwas in the box like the HS-PX505 and the JX303  and I always have to have the Caps and belts replaced.  I suffer from OCD and one scratch drives me crazy.  I also Like to have the box and manual with all the accessories too.  I am willing to pay for a mint condition unit and will have my guy repair them. If you know where I can get my hands on a Mint in the box Aiwa HS-PX505 or 101 my ears and wallet is wide open.

Thanks  Bryan

I have boxed and complete JX30 (Japanese version JX303) and JX505, but I am not considering selling them for now.

If you do I will pay good money for them both.  ThanksOriginally Posted by plop:
