Sony WM-DC2

Hello!

This is my first post on a website that I can tell I'll be spending a lot of time on.

I have recently been getting back into cassettes and after doing my homework, I have decided to purchase a Sony WM-DC2. I have seen a few pop up on ebay, but I thought I should check and see if someone in the community here has something in good condition available for sale.

Are there any other avenues I should pursue in my quest for finding one of these in good condition?

Thanks!

Hi Muaddib666,

Good choice of first walkman.   There are plenty of DC2's around but please familiarise yourself with the click issue mentioned by Corry.  Despite usually not effecting playback sound it's a progressive issue that 'can' render the unit un-usable & can be a very tricky/expensive repair.  The good news is that it effects price so you should really be paying more than £50-80.

@Agentorange: Thanks for the info! I have read a bit about the clicking problem, but didn't realize it was a troublesome and potentially expensive fix. I'll keep that in mind when considering the price. Thanks for the price info too, it can be difficult to find out what I should be paying for vintage equipment with issues like this.

@Corry: I'll be sending you an email shortly and hopefully we can work something out!
