Sony headphones

Let me say hi to you all. I discovered this great forum just a few moments ago.

I came across because I'm looking for a pair of MDR-40 or MDR-51 headphones. If anyone has a pair they are willing to sell, please let me know. Thanks very much.

Hi Detlef, a big welcome from us.

If you can't find them here then you may be in trouble.

It would be useful if you could dig out some pics of the units your after.

Actually, I can do this myself

MDR-40

MDR-51

Obviously you know this already but the MDR-51's if I'm not mistaken shipped with the WM-D2C plus some D6C and D3 units whilst a variant of the MDR-40 came with the WM-7 plus other D6C and D6 units.

Hi agent, thanks for pics and quick reply.

Some thirty years ago I owned two 40's or 51's but they choose to go their own way. I just can't remember which type I actually posessed. You should know how much I liked them because of their feather weight and sound. So, who ever reads here let me know which one produces smoother trebles and deeper bass and how much you ask for these.

Thanks again, Detlef

Don't know where you are located but found this on Ebay.com US site.  Looks like some writing on them but should clean off with a little work.

Thanks martymcfly for directing me to the seller in the US. But while the MDR's look fine they seem to be selling only within the states explicitly excluding Germany where I'm living. Bummer!
