Thanks for the info... I bought a bunch. Cleaned out this auction and two others just like it. I don't know about the quality, I will have to see, but I wanted these mainly for display purposes. I hope I will get to choose some colors or at least get a good selection...

BTW if you want some this same seller now has 3 more auctions up with 4 tapes per auction so just search on his other items. I don't want you to think I cleaned him out!

No sweat, and thanks for pointing out that he has more. He also sells a bunch of other tapes, I like the Maxell XL-IIS but some of that Denon is beyond what I am willing to part with for high quality sound reproduction


Most folks are buying them for looks, and with the prices that many have gone for..... I mean really, who cares if it's name brand name, it's the reel to reel look that matters.

Crap.... now what do I do. I went to pay for the 3 auctions I won for a total of 12 tapes and the user is no longer registered on ebay. Do I trust him and pay anyway? Or send him a note saying I will pay when he is a registered user again?

I don't want to lose money (over $70) and I don't want to get negative feedback for not paying if he ever gets registered again..

I wonder what he did....

Don't worry about negative feedback. If he decides/tries to register again, he will have to get a different eBay ID and therefore won't even have access to the old account.

People can become suspended... you think they are gone for good and a month later they pop up....

My apologies for anyone who ended up getting involved with this auction. I don't know who the person is, I was just browsing Ebay and ran across what looked like a good deal.


I would not recommend sending this seller payment outside of Ebay. Wait to see if his acct gets reinstated, and make him put the items back up for auction.

Hey, don't worry about it.. Epay is a gamble no matter how you look at it. I have come up a winner so many times things like this don't bother me much.

The seller did contact me wanting payment, but I told him that until he is reinstated I am not paying...

Looks like he bought from the same mass purchase many of us did and now trying to flip them........

I bought enough to last a lifetime. If you NEED a particular one, PM me and we can work something out.....
