Well here they are as promised. 4 Teac Studio 52G metal bias cassettes. Still in their original shrinkwrap. Not only do these tapes look cool, but Teac claims that they are as good as open reel due to the design of the cassette.
There is one Ebay seller selling these (silver version) for $79. The other only reference for price is a Ebay auction that ended for $67 for this same type of cassette. I would accept any offer over $50 plus postage. Would prefer to sell them all together or at the very least to sell 2 of them together.
Will accept trades but the only thing I really want is the Aiwa CS-W7 (who doesn't) or the big Panasonic that looks like a home stereo, but obviously that is worth a lot more than these tapes so I guess that is a pipe dream! Please contact me with questions or offers. Thanks.
Well I was just going by what they seem to be fetching on Ebay, but actually lower. My price is actually $30 less than one seller. Not sure of their true value but they are rare for sure, especially in their original packaging.
hmm, 90 mins versions were going for $30 each just after X-mas, I have not checked in since then...
The CRC-90 tapes are high-bias - not metal. Some CRC-90s just sold on eBay for around $43 each.
Doity, I'm sure if you listed those tapes on eBay, you'd get more for them. There are a lot more TEAC collectors on there too.
