hi,the first computer we got was a console it was an Atari 2600,basic graphics but at that time it was amaizing..then we got a commodore 64..that was kool,just loading cassette games was a real drag..
then we got an Atari ST-FM,Graphics were quite good,until i got an Amiga 500,the graphics and sound was alot better,and more games were available..i did a test once,i got lotus turbo challage for my atari st,and i got the same game for my amiga,tested them both,the amiga version was better,i also did a compare on Test drive II the duel,again,the graphics and sound on the amiga was alot better..but i hear that the st was good for music e.g cubase (is that what it is called)?
Yes. The MIDI capabilities and the low price made the Atari ST very attractive for musicians. Cubase is still a very popular sequencer.
My dad had a C64 too and me and my brother we played a lot with it and we wrote short programms in BASIC.
First computer game I had was a Binatone TV Master, simple black & white graphics with ping pong tennis type games.
Next was an Atari 2600 console with space invaders and asteroids, then the Sinclair ZX Spectum 128K with tapes which took ages to load and then crashed if you bumped the damn thing.
Then came the Amiga 500, I still have it along with the 1200 version.
Had an Atari STFM, aahh the days of Bubble Bobble, Bomb Jack, Captive, Gauntlet etc...
Now got those games on emulator for PC thankfully!
Before that the Sony 'HitBit' MS/X that smelt like a nice hot water bottle when it got warm
but wasn't good for much else.
First comp was the Sinclair ZX81 WITH, wait for it..... the 16K RAM-PACK. (The system was 1k ram as standard
)
