I'm almost wishing I did these days. I rarely bring my CD's out to the car, and I have a sizeable collection. . I might just order me one Car Cassette deck. I think they still make them someplace- JC Whitney.
I have sooo many great Cassetes. Dag, yo!
in both trucks yes, 1 came with infinity premium, 2nd truck has aftermarket radioshack, but not the car - has a 6cd changer/no aux input cd/changer - came with car
You want CASSETTE?? Check out some websites that sell car stereo stuff--especially the ones that are selling close-out decks. You can get them SUPER CHEAP! If you want an "under-dash" that may be harder, but I saw one on Ebay new in box. Once again, CHEAP. It was a CRAIG just like my dad had put in his 77 Lincoln. I was secretly happy our new (to us) 01 minivan has cassette and no CD.
I do!
I bought a car 2 years ago and i told the seller that if it came with a CD player he would've lost the sale!
I'll be installing an Alpine cassette deck in my El Camino at some point real soon.
Dave
My Sprinter van actually came with a cassette deck! At first, I was furious at the cheapness of Mercedes Benz (supposedly a luxury brand... apparently not in their trucks), but I've since decided it was an advantage that no one gets anymore. Now I take the van out and drive it around just so I can listen to my tape collection!
My 99 Chevy van came with a cassette player. I had an Alpine cd changer installed along with a Kenwood amp though.
My summer car still has a tapedeck in it...with CD quality sound...that's all i listen to when driving...old school mixtapes

After the CD-radio was stolen out of my LADA i bought at flea an old CAR-TECHNIC tape radio.
Works fine.
And i hope it "lasts" longer...
I have one, but that is only because it's a 94 and I'm too cheap to buy something new since I don't use a car as often as most people.
UE does

For sure!
Owned by PEUGEOT.
Not bad cars.I have a C4,every concievable extra,Automatic and 60 mpg,a perfect everyday car
Most legendary Citroen was the "duck"
...vorne ZIEHT'S, hinten DRÖHNT's...
We have never had Citroens in the Staes, or least, I donlt think so. Used to have alot of Peugots over here, but I havent seen any lately. I think thats Francais also. Then of course the little sports race car... can't think of the name right now, was French I believe.

Looks like a VW Bug ?
So this is NOT a VW Bug?
I always thought that this was a VW Bug but a European Model - Not sold over here in the USA.
No, the "duck" was from citroen and owns a 2cylinder frontengine but 4 doors.
The "bug" was from VOLKSWAGEN, with 4 cylinder backengine and 2 doors

Our "family" SUV is a 2002 Toyota Highlander. It has a premium JBL system with a very good tape deck and an in-dash 6-disc changer. When we bought the car last year (from Toyota dealer) the tape would not play. I made them pull the deck and have it serviced or the deal would have been off.
It plays tapes really, really well.
In our other cars we have CD players with aux-in jacks, so I can play tapes in a walkman and enjoy them in thos cars as well.
Here a pic of my CAR-TECHNIC radio in my LADA SuperNova 1700.
Got it NiB on a oldtimer-flea.
Got additional the original equalizer-amp with flashing lites.
Get mounted soon.
Also found yesterday this nice MUSTANG radio with antique ball-speakers.
Will keep it, if the other one die one day...
Very nice radio!
But very heavy price...

wow...amazing, a Golf I...its a classic 80's car
heeey ! good to hear from you buddy !
my car got a cd-player only, as i'm driving a helluvalot i stopped listening to radio or any other kind of music, just consuming loads of audio-books, either on cd's or mp3 via DNT-musicfly fm-transmitter. my '64 opel admiral just got the original radio mounted, it's not even connected, just there to look nice - when i'm using that car i prefer to listen to the "piston-symphonia"...
my rusty van got a cd-player wich is useless anyway because of the engine-noise, and my '82 Daihatsu F20 doesn't have any music-stuff installed...
my wife got a cassette-deck and a 6-cd-shuffle in her x-trail, she's listening to my mix-tapes and cd's...

...now
THIS rocks, respect !!!
Thanks!
I own about 20 old carradios.
Most for free or for a few bugs from flea.
They are very underrated.
btw: a friend of me bought just a VW sharan from 2005!
It owns a radio with CD and (!) tape!!
I use the line in on the car stereo to hook up a walkman if I want to listen to a cassette in the car. Mainly its books on tape though. Long commute.
