Ha, yeah, it's called Google Instant, all it's doing is finding results to what you're typing without you having to hit 'search' whe nyou're finished. You can turn it off by clicking the box 'Do not use Google Instant' under 'Google Instant' from the Settings>Search Settings link top right.
