OK I had my own business doing Custom Hydraulics for almost 7 years and 3 years ago when my wife got pregnant with our second child she didn't want to lose her job So I closed up my shop and took a few years off (We don't believe in the day care system here in NJ and don't trust many people with our kids (What're ya gonna do ?)

Anyway I've been sitting in this house for what feels like forever !

I'm leaving to go look for some BBX's at the second hand shops

Well for the 10 of you who read it... We drove around and hit a few second-hand shops and had a little score I'm not crazy into the 3 piece boom-boxes but if it sounds good and I can take it outside I still think it's cool

So here's what we found for a total of $8



sounds pretty good but needs a good cleaning and I love the 4 band EQ.



and these Memorex tapes bring back some crazy mix tape memories (even though I think they sound like crap LOL)



Not bad for $8 and my cutie pie had a good time listening to her favorite old school jams with daddy instead of taking a nap

The only thing I hate about my job is that its 120 miles (200km) away from home so I spend the week in Montgomery, Alabama away from the family. Thankfully it's not forever as I will return to normal in August. Montgomery may be the state capitol but that's about it when it comes to hunting boomers.

(Oh, and it's SOB's like you who get to sit home all day and play with your boxes you lucky m&$%#^#%#$r!!! Or go and get to the thrift store before me you lousy a&*@#$+*e!)

Seriously , you are blessed my friend to be home and get to play with your child. Enjoy as long as you can! Not many dad's get that opportunity. My wife was the stay at home mom as my children were breast fed and I was ill equipped for the job!

BTW nice catch! Not everything should be a Coney-Onkyo (Conion) or M90. Sometimes the ones we really enjoy are the ones we don't expect much out of!

Yeah my wife raised my 9 year old till he left for school and she didn't want to lose her current position so she ask that I would do the dead this time around. It makes money tight but we are getting a lot done here at the house

I do miss working but wouldn't give up a minute with my baby girl. She really is a joy to be with and always has me laughing

Smokin_Endo You are lucky, you get to spend a priceless amount of time with your child. Being able to go look for boxes during the day when the rest of us stiffs have to work is a huge bonus. Enjoy it as long as you can my friend!

Nice find! I rarely find any boxes at my local thrift stores.
