Purely out of curiosity , how many of our memebers own guns ? Personally, I really enjoy shooting (targets , not animals or people) .

Here in the U.K we don't get to buy any guns.

got a few pellet guns that's about it. I collect knives.

I have a 12 gauge Winchester pump and two .22 caliber rifles. One is a Henry lever action and the other is a Marlin semi auto. I have two Crossman pellet guns too. I would like to get a handgun someday too,but that is not a big deal right now. I pretty much just target practice and shoot skeet purely for fun.

THEY wont let me have guns. but i got one of these.

Ahem...well... As you all might have guessed, my guns are duty related. I sold my personal Smith&Wesson Semi-Auto handgun cause I carry my Police Dept's SigSauer .40 cal handgun when off duty anyway. I just qualified with my AR-15 Double 30 round magged) and a Remington 870 Shotgun. But at the Air Base, M4 Carbine w/ 30mm Grenade Launcher and "The Pig" (7.62 belt fed machine gun (1,200 rounds)

Guns are not evil Nicolle! It is the evil people whom use them to kill other people. The gun does not know what it is shooting,but the person holding it does.....

Very good point, it's the evil that is bad not the tool used to commit the crimes. Bombs are illegal and almost nobody has them even legally yet they are made by people with specific intentions who don't care one bit what's legal or not. Removing the tools doesn't stop the crimes, they just find new ways to commit them.
It's easy to villify an object, it can't fight back.

Society in general all over the world is to tolerant of bad behavior which allows many of these evil people to keep commiting their crimes. Some of these people are even in charge of countries and that's what scares me and makes me worry for all of us in general.

In NYC we have strict gun laws. Handgun possesion is like 3 yr mandatory. However, if we was allowed to carry them, i think crime would plummet. You wouldnt so quick to rob some old lady for her purse if she has a .22 ready to shoot you in your testicle. Guns dont kill people. Bullets do. And they need to get loaded.

I was interested in that concel carry permit. NEVER would happen in NYC. And i laugh because you never hear about random shootings in Tennesee. Just in places where you arent allowed to carry them at all.

WOW! I can't believe you can have that stuff down there. Most of that stuff is banned up here by the government.
