I AM ASTOUNDED AND SHOUTING IN CAPITAL LETTERS!
JOHN, I AM STUNNED AND CANNOT THANK YOU ENOUGH. DALE BOZZIO...I JUST SPOKE TO DALE BOZZIO!
Here's how it went:
I initially missed the call while waiting on a customer.
(RING) ME: Hello, someone just called my phone. This is Tom Burick
Lady on the other end: Oh, you want to speak to Dale.
Me: Dale? Dale Who?
Lady on the other end: Dale Bozzio.
Me: D...D...Dale Bozzio?!?!?!
Dale: Hello Tom this is Dale.
I think I remember trying to say something after she introduced herself but nothing came out of my mouth but air
She was awesome. What a lovely woman. Genuine.
I always looked up to her because she had the strength and courage to be herself.
John, again, you did this all so selflessly...I still can't believe it. THANK YOU. I'M STUNNED.
Tom

Sweet!
Now that is the best thing I have ever heard one member doing for another here (walking both ways to the post office up hill, in the snow aside).
MP was one of my favorite bands in the teen years, and remains today. It's really nice to hear how, well, really nice she is
If you all remember the shock I had watching my chrome dust cap from my GF-777 being sucked into my sweeper nozzle...
Well - Hearing Dale Bozzio's voice on the other end of my phone was MUCH more shocking. I almost fell off my chair (literally)
John, thanks again. It was very, very kind of you.
Yeah, "words", what a song. The vid for it on youtube is awesome. Yummy dale.

that the MP's were one cool band. I also still crank some of their tunes to this day, it's just classic cool 80's.

Honestly, I don't remember hearing "Words" back in the day, but after seeing the video for it on VH1 Classic many years ago, I had to cop that on CD! I'm a BIG fan of 80's New Wave!

She`s still gorgeous. Nice one.
Sorry but I do not know this artist
Walkgirl,
Dale Bozzio was the lead singer of an early 1980's New Wave Band named Missing Persons. They were odd, brazen, and over the top. They had a few songs that made it on to the pop charts - "Destination Unknown" and "Words" are the two biggest hits. They only had a few albums before they broke up...my favorite one is "Spring Session M" (which btw is an anagram of the bands name).
I loved this band for many reasons. Mainly b/c of Dale Bozzio. She had such an aura of strength about her. Her Vixen good looks was a perfect match to her bold, outward attitude.
Plus, it drove my parents nuts, b/c I played them on my BBX at ear-splitting levels
After the band broke up, Warren Cuccurello, one of the bands guitarists joined Duran Duran for a while. I just saw a picture of him recently and was shocked. He's got to be in his mid 40's. He is body-builder ripped and looks like he's 30 years old.
I must say that Dale is aging gracefully and is just as beautiful as ever.
