There are soooo many good movies out there.

I did like every movie on your list, Jared.

Here are some standouts that immediately come to mind for me:

The Fifth Element (a Sci-Fi flick that doesn't take itself too seriously)

Silverado (Great story, and what a cast)

Tremors (only the first one, good chemistry among the cast & well written. A fun flick to watch)

Where Eagles Dare (OK, I'm biased because I have spent A LOT of time in the part of Austria where most of this movie was filmed. But Eastood and Burton are really good in this one and its a great story line.)

Cloverfield (an amazing concept, combined with awesome special effects. Very believable... and it pulls you in and then leaves you hanging at the end)

Blade Runner - (just because)

Oh, and I'll Caddyshack & Fletch to the list as well...

I reserve the right to add more later!

I'm looking forward to what some others respond so I have some new updates for my Netflix account!

Very disappointed with myself for not finding this thread earlier. Heres some of mine:

Taxi Driver
City Of Lost Children
Empire Strikes Back
Dark Passage
Sin City
Finding Nemo
Cabinet of Dr Caligari
Once Upon A Time In The West
The Party
Alien
Reservoir Dogs
Wizard of Oz
Haute Tension
Interstella 5555
Texas Chainsaw Massacre (original)

Aboloutely love Dog Day Afternoon too. It's a shame Pacino doesn't get a lot more credit for his awesome performance in that. Great movie.

Rock On.

jaredscottfla - 2008-09-14 04:03

I Agree
ck out another earlier pacino flick,he's awesome in his first feature film panic in needle park. he plays a heroin addict. exc flick,! Drug addiction is a touchy subject for film and it's rare when the subject is both real serious and deftly performed by the actors. Another 2 old flicks one from the 40's and one from the 50's,Gentlemen's agreement with Gregory Peck, and the man with the golden arm with Frank Sinatra(Sinatra also plays a heroin addict in that film one of otto premiger's best films),exc flicks, again def in my top 20 but just missed the top ten.
