Hi, does anyone on Stereo2go have pictures of them (or friends or family members) posing with Boomboxes in the 70's and 80's?

Here are shots from 1986 of me and my TRK-W55H back in college.
Wonderlust you've probably seen my avatar it's the only one I have with my first M-90 back in 1983 or 1984.
Ford93 -- love that avatar shot! and el rojo grande, your cape was not something I was expecting. Thanks for sharing guys - I hope some other people have a few special gems.

Thanks ,
The radio (unlike me) has underwent a full on
restoration
That is not my original Rising though.
I was about 17 years old and walking home from a friends
house one night ,
When I was jumped (due to a mistaken identity)
I guess I looked like someone else that really needed a beating
.
Any how fortunately for me I made it through alive,
Unfortunately the Rising didnt
.
The beat me up pretty bad with stickball bats.
They stole my gold and broke the Rising with a bat as well.
They also hit my girl (at the time) for trying to help me.
That top Picture is what inspired me to get it back.
I found it while thumbing through some pics at my parents house.
So I googled and scoured Ebay until I found the pocket calculator website.
Thats what led me here and in fact here on stereo2go is where I found that
Rising.
I got it for 100.00 and it was pretty sad looking when I got it. It is now restored to like new condition.
I have a few more 80's vintage pictures of me sitting up on a life guard chair with it that I need to scan and post up here, they are classic and the only other pics i have with my original blaster.

I knew this picture from 1988 existed so here's the story... [URL=
The Hitachi in the thread at the top of page lasted 1984-1988 before it started to magnetize cassettes and add a clicking sound. So this Fisher replaced it and lasted until 1992 when a 12 volt car converter fried the transformer or something. This must be a picture when it was brand new. The sad thing is that I still wear black socks with shorts. The shoes are not Adidas, but JC Penney sneakers that my Dad bought in 1976!
here's a few dating back around 1985 me with my conion which i babied it to death!, didnt want even the feet to get damaged underneath so i would tape cardboard onto it
and my brother with his sharp-777 which i actually own till this very day...
Wow Blaster, those are some great photos!!! Them were the days!
Thanks for sharing!
Thats so cool, wish I had some pics as well
Wow these are great! Blaster - those old shots are fantastic. Thanks for sharing - does anyone else have anything to share? Would love to see some more if possible.
Cool shots Blaster!
I like the framed Conion ad behind you!
I do have pics of me posing with my
Boxes back in the 80's, but they're on 35mm and I don't know how to transfer them to digital format. (I'm still living in the dark ages
)
The only pic I have is my Realistic 14-805 that you see here under my name. VINTAGE 1978!!!
And I had to get TPR to help me do THAT!!!
'NUFF SAID
they have flatbed scanners that will convert 35mm to digital...or you can take it to most film developing stores that may do it for you...
