iPOD question

gm - 2009-03-16 18:37

i've got an iPOD 80gb with all of my tunes on which lives in my kithcen docked to a sharp gf767 but am thinking of buying a second iPOD to keep in the car - is it possible to sync two iPODs with one computer and have the same music on both ?

Yes, it is possible. Wink I've got both a 60gb model and an older 40gb model and used to keep different music on both. But sure, you can sync both with the same music.

With Mono. I Agree
I have a 80GB Ipod with my music on it and my wife has a 4GB Ipod nano with her music on it. I had a older 4GB nano with music when I rode my motorcycle too. I used them all at the same time on Itunes with no problems all different music. Big Grin

I was curious about this. I am looking at getting a few Nano's for my parents, and being able to sync them both to the same tunes on the same PC is a requirement.

Yes,I tunes recognizes each different Ipod you might have and you can sync several different Ipods the way you want too using just one Mac or PC. Big Grin

My wife's Ipod Nano synced with Itunes.

My Ipod classic synced with Itunes

hey pan fan you are limited 5 different ipods per itunes computer thou so keep that in mind. after 5 it would allow you to sync anymore.

So, how can you 'unsync' unwanted iPods from your itunes program if you no longer want them on it or want to sync a different one? (Sorry for the jump in GM).

a lil correction. You can only authorize up to five different computers (ie, iTunes libraries) for your purchased songs, but there is no limit on the number of iPods you can sync to any of these computers, as long as the music is transferred from one of your authorized computers.

and further more. To play purchases from the iTunes Store, you must authorize your computer using your iTunes Store account and password. (Authorization helps protect the copyrights of the purchased items.)

You can authorize up to five computers (Macintosh, Windows, or both) at a time. To play a purchased item on a sixth computer, you need to deauthorize another one. An iPod doesn't count as a computer.
