I always thought it was the "Funky Drummer" break by drumming genius, Clyde Stubblefield. Interesting clip though.

Now we've all been schooled on a bit of music history. I know of a few other songs not mentioned that sampled that Amen drum loop, just can't name them this second. I'm sure I'll be pointing it out to someone when it's played and get some puzzled looks.

Dude should have been more thorough in doin' his homework... I first heard that Amen Break sampled back in 1986 by Salt-N-Pepa's producer (whoever he is - Hurby Luvbug, maybe?) for the song "I Desire".

That clip is dope and that drum sample may indeed be the most used, but "Funky Drummer" will always be THE BEST DRUM SAMPLE EVER in my opinion.
