I was 6 and remember the 72 munich games very well,Spitz was amazing, gave alot of pride to all americans, that record was just thought no way,no way anyone would ever break that record. Well it's happened! It is TOTALLY amazing and phenominal what Phelps has accomplished,Mark Spitz at least was on TV last nite, and was (still is) a Totally class act,in His congrts to Michael, and He predicted victory tonite and Phelps would break his record. It is pretty amazing.
I saw that last night, too! I agree, Spitz & Phelps are both class acts! That was a good interview.
Can you believe how Bolt finished that 100m final? He totally eased up and really could have crushed that record buy much more!
I thought it was kind of cheezy when he was holding his shoes up in front of the timing sign with his WR on it... Puma marketing execs, on the other hand, must be absolutely loving that!
I am happy for Dix getting the Bronze... (go Noles!)
This was a great evening of Olympics. Will never forget it!

Yep,i thought the show boatin wasn't necessary but he did blow away the competion,No doubt about that! Dix is from Coral Springs, about 20 min north of me,and Dana Torres, lives in Plantation also just a little North about 15 min.Fla is well represented in the games!
I was a bit over 1 year, and I do not even
remember we haveing a tv!

...the pool water is slicker now compared to the pool water in '72
Well it's over I've got to say Beijing knows how to party. The open ceremony was crazy but the closing was amazing Jimmy Page from Led Zep still looks good for his age. I'm sad to see these olympics end it was truly an outstanding event. It was great to see all the athletes from different countries together in the closing ceremonies. Only events like this brings the world together, I wish it would be like this all year round.
Yes it is over again
The next time the olympics are on everybody will
be 4 years older again
I thought the McDonalds with the sushimi eel burgers was the best.
I already feel the onset of Olympic Withdrawl Syndrome... I have a feeling this will last until the opening kickoff of the regular football season.
And thanks to Ed's post, I think its going to be a Sushi night tonight...
The theme music sounds like a crappy mobile phone ringtone.
