I believe Floyd is the only one aware of this. It appeares that I wiil be responding back to Paradise California for a statewide callout for all available agencies "Mutual Aid" (FireFighters, Police, Volunteers). I responded down there a few weeks ago for a few days to assist with their 22K acre wildfires. Today's news stated 45K acres in the Paradise area. I will be teamed up with several other Officers to help evacuate people and to prevent looting. I spoke with a couple of returning FireFighters today. They said it's so sad, people are dying down there.
I'll keep y'all posted.
Good luck!!

Stay safe Fuzz, fires like this can trap you before you know it.
Godspeed, my friend. Let us know when you make it back.

Adam......Thinkin' of ya buddy!
Thanks friends. Just was informed we were no longer needed after all. I guess they're making headway on the Chico, Cal. area fire. They sent us home when they had it 20% contained last time - now they were asking us back again. Hopefully THIS time, they can put these horrible fires out for good. Aparrently, the National Guard is being mobilized in several states to help. Now, I'm hearing from fellow Guardsman that our base is trying to get some us to go help in a military capacity. Standby to standby.....
