...just felt like telling you all about a couple of gigs I've been to recently:
Whitesnake & Def Leppard at Wembley arena & Iron Maiden at Twickenham stadium.
It's great pretending you're a teenager again - if the guys in the bands are refusing to acknowledge their advancing years, then why should I?
These bands belted out tunes like it's still 1987... top entertainment
Both gigs were part of a world tour, so did anyone here go to either of these?
Whitesnake:
Def Leppard:
Iron Maiden:

I appear to be there now...
brilliant . . kiler riffs and lyrics . . .
man . . . . .
by strange coincidence, i'm listening to Whitesnake's 1987 right now !
Excellent stuff.
I love those bands!
Here I go again, from Whitesnake is top!
The rest is also really fantstic!
I never was in a concert because it is too
loud for me
Thanks for the comments!
It isn't fashionable music, but by God it's good

That's a shame. At Iron Maiden on Saturday, I saw someone had bought his young daughter along & she had some pink ear defenders on, like these:
She was having a great time.
Also, I know of a few gig-goers who wear ear-plugs...
Not really 'in' to rock but I liked Def Leppard's 'Hysteria' album, and also 'Still Of The Night' by Whitesnake.
my recent ebay purchases include :
whitesnake - 1987
iron maiden - powerslave
guns 'n' roses - appetite for destruction
metallica - kill 'em all, ride the lightning, and justice for all
aerosmith - permanent vacation
dave lee roth - skyscraper
thin lizzy - greatest hits
zz top - eliminator
all to listen to once and transfer onto my ipod
(i've got most of them on tape or vinyl already)
i tend to keep a mental list of cds that i'm looking out for cheap on the bay - current 'wants' are
wasp - electric circus
violent femmes - debacle
iron maiden - piece of mind
gary moore - wild frontier
rock rocks !
just remembered that i saw Iron Maiden live at Whitley Bay ice rink back in '86 / '87 when i was still at school - what a show, my first real gig ( we'll not count the time i went to see 'musical youth' ! ) must have been the 'somewhere on tour' tour
