I paid out the wazoo for this at Circuit City back in the day. Don't let the dust fool you...I use it but the camera flash has its way of bringing out every dust particle. Not sure if it is a valuable model but it has everything from pitch control to computer bias calibration. I wondered what this was when I got it as I had never heard of it. This function fast forwards into the tape past the plastic lead and records various frequencies. It plays these back, selects the proper bias for that tape and then rewinds back to the beginning of the tape. I use it for Metal Bias tapes and it makes unbelievable Dolby HX-Pro tapes. Italso has Dolby B and C (which I didn't know there was a C but that's what I use because it sounds the best on playback...no hiss). JVC Model TD-W354
Anyway for what its worth..here it is.
