Well people. Can`t believe i`m saying this. It was me, that got the bombeat 40 on ebay.de. Let me say, here and now, there is NO WAY, i would have paid anywhere near this much for a radio, before the brain injury. The silver one i had, and deeply regret letting go of, was £26. I can`t believe these things go for such silly money, as, there is nothing to them, just the look. The cassette deck, even has a puny square belt, not flat. One thing it must have, is a damn good amp stage, mixed with good quality 8" woofers. Right, you can start with your comments now. I wonder what paul (gettoman), will have to say about it. Oh, the shame.

That`s true ira, though, it doesn`t really bother me. What gets me most. I have said it countless times, is, letting mine go. How many champagne colour bombeat 40`s have you seen? The guy, who worked for toshiba, that i spoke to, knew nothing about the bombeat 40. He could remember the rt-s931/2 well.

hows this for mental rich...i have been offered 4 conions for my crown 970 and turned everybody down.....the 970 is a simple box like the bombeat but i wouldn't trade it for an m90..pollox to the conions lad..been there done that

The chrome has seen better days but it's still a fantastic looker.
