I am most proud to present to the world my SONY WM-40 Japan release in Silver WITH ....drum roll please.... ... .. . CTP-1A FM/AM TUNER MODULE in MINT working condition. The FM sound is superb and tuning is spot on. PRESENTING the USA/CANADIAN version of WM-40 the WM-10RV in Gold with case. This one is PERFECT not a mark! Interesting the contacts for the FM tuner in the 10RV and 40 Euro release has a plastic block plate thus the FM tuner will ONLY function in a Japanese release model I believe.
The reverse opening with head mounted to door is truly an over kill engineering feat !!! BRAVO SONY

Hey Rerooted.. thank you kindly for nice compliment on Walkman's and the "real" pictures.
Actually took 55 pictures to come up with these that look really good. So hard with flash reflection, not in focus right, come up with different backgrounds, etc to come up with right done ones. Am glad they show the real glory of this engineering marvel Walkman.

Great to hear from you DocP.. been awhile. Actually I need to PM you in near future have several WM-10, 20 and a 30 want to send you and one of my wm-30 to repair back to original glory. Will have you keep couple extras for parts and gladly pay for you time/parts above value you set for extra models you keep for parts. I have 8 of those 3 series. ONE works.. they are so temperamental at least my experience so far. Waiting on commission check before talking serious bout this to you. Know and trust you are the King of these models. I do have a orig. perfect condition Service manual for the WM-40/WM-10RV will send to help.
