Thank you as even though i'm not a great fan of toshiba's but this one does stand out a bit. Did try and sell it on ebay but now my wife is using it at her work.
Toshiba is great!

I got that one from Germany. What is your type of walkmans as you have posted a lot of messages.
You are based in Holland??

Oh equlisers!
Yes I am in Holland
i have a gx-670 sony like yours. i think that is the best player i own as far as high-tech. i have had it a couple of years and haven't figured out the radio yet. oh well, i don't use the radio's much anyway. it works but i think there is a trick to getting it preset properly. that's the first sony wm-36 i,ve seen on here. i have one but not anywhere near mint boxed as yours is.
I know what you mean about the WM-36 as that is really in mint. Got that on Ebay.
Also the Sony as if you need help in getting the presets sorted as i can give you details of how to do it. It is a good walkman.
Thanks for posting.

hi..thanks for the offer for the gx-670. i only get 3 or 4 stations so it's no big deal. it's one of those really good puzzles when you don't get the instructions.

Some grand additions... your really adding fast to your collection. I have the same AIWA HSJ101 but model number on it is HS-J700 think its for America. Sad you cannot get the 2v rechargeable battery for these anywhere

WOW.WHAT A COLLECTION.LOVE THE LIGHT BLUE SANYO SET.GB4L
Your Aiwa HS-U07 is by far your rarest piece, with the G09 in hot persuit. It took me a good while to find these for my collection. Where did you find them just out of interest?
Sadly the quality of your photography doesn't do your collection justice :-)
Thanks for making a comment on my pictures. I agree with you of the picture quality as my camera was stolen from me at the carnival. Never got round to it to get a new one.
The Aiwa HS U07 was in the cupboard of my late dad so i think we have had that model for about 15 years or so. The HS G09 as i got that from France about 4 months ago. I really love that piece. I do have a preference for Aiwa's as that was basically my first walkman. But so so difficult to repair specially putting a belt on.
Most of the good walkmans i have on show is that i got them outside of UK. Is that strange or what?
Colin
Colin,
Love the idea that you've kept your dad's walkman, is this the unit that started it all.
Agreed, replacing belts on these is a nightmare, which is a shame as it's often the only hurdle to making these high-quality units opperational.
Do you work in town, happy to have a go at replacing the belts for you?
Not really as i've always been interested in walkmans since the age of possibly 8 or 9 when walkmans came out. We used to go to the market in various places in London as believe me if i would have kept some of them now. It is only antique when you remember it. Then when you become a teenager it is all about clubs, girls etc etc.
But still my dad used to come in and show me another one he got. I love the remote Aiwa HS G08 with equalizer i think. That was so loud and cool but batteries went down quick though.
It is a shame that Aiwa went off the tracks a little bit as i did find these were the cream of walkmans.
My Sony WM 701S is such a clear sound but i very rarely used it. I try and use the walkman and juggle them around a bit to keep them working. All my walkmans are working apart from the HS JX879 which has two belts in it. So difficult to repair that one. Shame as that is a good unit too and it uses the gumstick battery. Could you repair that one?
Colin
Nice collection.
I always like seeing cassette players in their original boxes.
That aiwa is nice!
The 5 x WM-100 derivatives are alos pretty spectacular too. It's worth mentioning that the Toshiba with speaker box isn't something I've ever seen before.
I'll be revising my walkman collection with new images very soon.
Thanks
