Finally got this guy, is very rare, silver Sony WM-550C Walkman portable cassette player in absolutely beautiful condition! The WM-550C, I been after this one for a while.

Hi ya Dr. Very nice catch handsome player simple and clean. How do you find waterproof papers walkmans do they live up to all the hype on his auction? Does it really have new belt? And lastly how impressed with sound are you with this model?

Interesting unit, never seen one before. I especially like the plastic box.

I've never really liked this transport, I always found it to be a watered down version of the beautiful WM-100 internals, the same concept but with a lot of plastic substitutions and lacking the great pair of spool-like capstains. The substitution of the metal deck with what looks like a flap of plastic. The WM-150 was the only version I liked, and now this.

Great that you have the entire package & it's a good looker too.

He did put a new belt, but wasn't the right size way to thick, lucky I had I had one that fitted and slso clean and relube all gears, unit works great, sound is good, but wasn't blow away etheir.
