Personally I'd rather not deal with sellers who play tricks like this. It also concerns me that he sells all his DD units with a WM-2 belt clip. The WM-2 was the only unit which had this clip, it just doesn't add up.

I hope I get the unit working, took a chance despite everyone warnings just really wanted this unit and contacted other seller, they won't shipped to the US. I email him and guarantee it working and in good condition.

Read month earlier postings on this same seller including my own WM-F10 sold as perfect arrived no radio reception and unable to turn cogs with tape in.....

Good Luck Dr. with him backing up his promise of working and in good condition.. his first and following responses will be it is your fault or you are lying to get a cheaper agreed price. He will refuse to pay for the expensive return shipping even if he should agree to give money back it adds insult to injury not to mention you send back and he creates story for ebay you damaged unit and sent him unusable unit back thus he will deny paying anything... been there I have a $100 WM-F10 the WORST ebay buy experience ever out of over 200 purchases past year with Mediterrano71...Better take video of opening box and first playing of unit to help prove to ebay your side. I know his word means nothing but in the pictures looks clean and remotes said "PLAY", I just hope this turns out good. I do have the emails he sent saying it works that there nothing wrong with it, use it against him if it doesn't, will do a video on it when I receive it, if it broken will file a claim.

Hello, when I put the item on ebay everything worked fine. All the thing you have told seems little bit confusing to me. I am sorry but I can´t belive in it. As you have mentioned these items are very old and is is analogue technology. Obviously no professional tech is going to be able to determine this damage even if did shops charge $50 just to look at item to give estimate refundable if they repair which would cost far more than the $100 I paid. This guy has many slick tricks up sleeve to sell misrepresented items and never giving money back.

I was Ok with this answer but wanted to let him know I check the tracking that it was at the post office, that they just didn't leave a notice at the door, was at work and missed the package, so he don't have to worry.

Hi DR. sorry to hear he is being difficult but not surprising.. Please make sure you video the box when arrives and when you unpack and as you take player out and test it first time. He will blame any malfunction on age of old analog technology and damaged in shipping even if box has NO signs of abuse or damage in shipping which means it was sent defective. I sure hope you get a good working EX5.. Do let us all know when it arrives.

Got WM-EX-5 in today, of course broken plays but no sound and eat tape, video taped the whole unboxing, will be putting in a paypal claim today. $219 dollar for a broken item, very bad seller.

To make matter worst unit is beyond repair broken head look like drop while it was playing or someone stuck something in there and bent head mounting backet which snap off the plastic guide on the head itseft.

am really sorry for your bad luck with this seller, i was going to bid on one of his auctions but saw this thread and backed out.

Dr. I so know how you feel paying so much for something you really wanted and to receive it in a condition so very far from what seller represented. I am glad you took my advice from my bad experience which I lost my money that you made video of opening and playing it. Leave a Scathing feedback on this loathsome man. Do keep us posted of how the process goes with ebay/paypal. Please show them this thread and one I started earlier on same seller to EBAY. He etheir needs to do a full refund plus shipping, or reimburse me for the repairs, can fix the unit myseft already fixed the tranport problems already loose spring, just needs a new head from a suitable donor EX1-EX5, that has a bad logic board. Maybe $100 total, see if partstore.com have a head in stock.

They have the head in stock just got done ordering it $45.90 and a few more belts always need those around, most of the Sonys use the same belts

i had a boxed ex-5 about 6 weeks ago that was mint and dead. i just went through the paypal deal and got my money back. there was a 7 day return with the listing so that's what i did. i lost some postage but no big deal. payapl refunded my money and that was that. the worst part is the frustration and going through the hassle. i never had one answer to the emails i sent to the guy.

Look at the video, the best proof you are going to get, already sent to paypal with me opening the box and taking the unit out of the box. Also have ten people that brought units from you, that had the same problems backing me on this one. Also take note did use a mastercard could have easily do a chargeback, but don't want to screw paypal over, figure give them a chance first, "Kind of funny thought the same thing about you,especially after people warn me about you", we got whole threads about you, same problem units arriving DOA, one unit maybe a mistake, "but 5 unit". So play nice or I will make it harder for you to get your money, paypal freeze that when you do a claim. Hell didn't even have to make you a offer, could have ask for a full refund. Sent me the part to fix the unit playback head it broken and $35 for having to deal with the problems and the claim ends pretty simple, don't make it harder then what it have to be!!

First it took over 2 weeks to get item I just asked you for a tracking and that it. Second camcorder was started due to was pre-warn about you from other members from stereo2go that bought unitS from you that you also screw over, so yes a camcorder was necessary evil. Third I just spend over $1200 on units the other day purchasing price was fine, those WM-EX5 go for around that if I didn't want it I won't have bidded or paided in the first place. and finally I was a engineer and know a doctor I can even tell you how you broke it and prove that you knew it was broken, you try glue the head back togetheir with red epoxy, and didn't even bother to put the spring back that cause to break in the first place, have highres pics of this which will be sent if necessary.

Anyone that had problems with this guy PM me, plus also have him trying to sell his WM-DC. Ask him if it made the click sound he said yes it have the gear problem,they all do, funny he didn't add that to his description, Paypal/Ebay would love to know this, shut this guy account down for good.

some of those sellers don't even take a minute to check items they send out. a while back i got a player that was totally dead. it also had the green crap on the one battery terminal which i wasn't too worried about. in an email he told me he checked and there was no corrosion what so ever. there i am sitting with it in my hand with the corrosion right in front of me. it's hard to believe what they will say. i could give you example after example of the same thing.

He knew it was broken, how I know this he try to glue the broken piece back on and he put a new belt in and was the wrong size.

Hey DrMR2000 looks like your e-mail to mediterrano71 has done the trick, as I noticed he / she has not put anything back up for sale.

Hopefully from now on he / she will think twice about putting up faulty goods without a proper descriptions.

Shame he got that WM-7 he going to end up butchering that poor unit, and he only paid $30 been looking for that guy. He probably thinks it a belt, wait till he find out it not a belt and a gear driven deck with 3 motors. Only thing that belt driven is the capstan drive, this is one of the most complex transport I doubt it he can fix it.

It's alot worst then we thought, He using two accounts maybe more found his other account smart320 idiot listed everything the same, even worst ripping off and overcharging tons of people in a large scale.

I have a story to share with you about Mediterrano71.

Recently I won an auction on ebay - the DC2 walkman. It was in perfect cosmetical and functional condition, at least that was what the seller told me. I won it for 51 $US. I asked a friend of mine (Rencgi) what he thought about it and he said - buy it unless the seller's anme is Mediterrano71. I checked my ebay account and to my surprise, that in fact was the seller's name.

A couple of days passed and I went to ebay only to find that I AM NOT the highest bidder anymore. I emailed the seller to ask why and got a straightforward answer - he didn't like me and I didn't have enough feedback which is no wonder since I bought only 2 things off ebay. But he didn't mention anywhere that that was the criteria.

On my first email to him I said I was a serious collector and that I am a member here. I told him that because I wanted to make sure he knew I know what I was bidding on and he couldn't just sell me anything.

My recent discussion with AgentOrange has made me a bit worried about the rest of you guys. I had luck because Rengi warned me about that seller and I don't wanna see you guys get tricked.

I won't go into the details further, but take my word for it, you don't want to have anything to do with this seller! He might have some good stuff to sell, but all of that is irrelevant. It is clear to me that he disqualified me because I'm a member here. Maybe he reads the forums and even has an account here so he knows what the rumors are and how we are protective of each other.

Report him to eBay safe and harbor, they have his accounts flagged already, I believe it illegal to change auction at the very end, I would let them know this, and also let them know he has two accounts AKA smart320. eBay need to put this guy out of his out of his misery already. He ships "PONY EXPRESS" and he has as much knowledge, as a 2yrs old would when it come to fixing them. I think a 2yrs old could do a much better job then he can!!
