Now these are interesting, this transport wasn't used in any other unit, which is very unlike Sony. Note how the heads come in from the opposite side of the unit to the buttons.
Anyway, I have to trump you on this one as i have a boxed one, identical to yours but mine has it's original headphones which are about the most interesting part of this unit in that they have stereo mics built into each side.
And this is my 6,000th post, wahey...
Interesting to see this R series model (not even isted on Walkman Central).

Corry
If you can get the original headset let me know, will buy them from you?
Okay !!!
This is one of the most specialized recording units...the headphones being exceptionally special and rare...They sell for quite a price NOS so grab a used pair whenever one pops up.
The concept was that for headphone/earphone based listening the recording should be made at ear level preferably using our external ears/'pinnae' as sound receiving strcutures...
try out a recording it is GREAT! Even better if you use the microphones with a DAT/other digital format recorder.

Ah, those were the days... Sony were making SO much money on sales of basic Walkmen that they could afford the indulgence of this sort of thing. Happy days...
hi,
maybe next week i get the original microheadphone.
never used and in brandnew condition !!!
DrMR200 what is your price for ?
Corry
Really not sure what they are worth, but almost know they are worth more the most headset being they have stereo mic, better just to throw a price out there and go from there.
