Here we are another year and my second European/UK stash has arrived. Santa's presents for the good boy ME! Over past 5 months have purchased these many at bargain prices. My friend brings them back from Germany in his suitcase saving me $300 in shipping to USA. It is a nice mix mostly on the newer high tech side this year vs. early models last year. Am most Happy to have 3 DOLBY C models in this stash.
PLEASE NOTE : I took 258 pictures of these 17 players then choosing best ones then posting to tinypic then posting to forum and typing text took me 10 hours of work. No wonder most of my Walkmans have not been posted ! AIWA HS-PX101 DOLBY C

Here is a pretty rare model as I have never seen one before the AIWA EX-200MkII EURO COLLECTION in a delicious deep metallic blue. Paid $1 EURO plus $3.90 Euro shipping included is remote control/headphones, case, add on Battery holder AND the rare 2 volt mains to charge the Lead acid PB-S5 A batteries luckily one holds a charge. This players sound surprised me with its clarity and soundstage very impressed and has powerful loud sound for newer small player!

GRUNDIG BEAT BOY 130 Here is a nice RED example of one of Grundig's early less expensive models for the the masses with 3 EQ to help the poorer quality internals to produce acceptable sound.
PHILIPS D6658 To get the Panisonic RQ-NX10 in Lavender it came with two other players this mid 80's price conscious PHILIPS D6658 player and also the cheap Lenco. Bargain all 3 for $10 Euro including shipping !
I have also a aiwa hs-px101 walkman
great job,,i really enjoyed the tour. many players i have never seen before too. every once in a while i see a player with the same interiors i have but the exteriors look a good bit different....
Hey John!
I was wondering when are you going to get that Panasonic S60 because it is a beautiful piece. It's a shame it doesn't use a "12 laminated core head" like the S80.
The Aiwa PX101 is great - walkgirl has one and she even made a youtuve video on it. I think it is the first of the Aiwa PX series - it started with 101, then came 303 model with an HX amorphous head and 505 which on all of that added a BBE system. I have the 303 and 505 but they are currently at DrMR2000'and he's trying to fix them. But anyway, it is a story that ends with PX1000 - the latest of the series. Sure, there are many PX models in between of after it but they were nowhere near these ones.
I had also a PX477 which had a lot of functions - all of them actually and was simple to use and good designe but the quality just wasn't there - it broke down after 6 months. Exactly 1 day after the warranty deadline.
I liek Panasonics - and your SX52 is a looker in that greenish colour. I was disappointed a bit with my friends SX53 because it doesn't have a tape selector. Also, it was always funny to me how only the top of the line Panasonic players have 9-times skip feature and others only 3. Plus, if you want to skip 3 songs, you need to press the button 3 times at once becaue it doesn't accept later commands unlike the models with 9-skips where you can increase or decrease the number of skipped songs during the whole rewind time. But I guess they didn't want to complicate things on players that didn't have an lcd that could show the progress of song searching.
Thank you very much for posting!
Excellent!! Great collection and great pictures, John. I know what you mean about the time invested in just posting - and I for one do appreciate you sharing your collection. Keep collecting and keep posting. We need to keep this forum alive!

Hello John Edwards, I wish to take some (or all) of your fantastix photos to make a personal project, your photos never be used to expose on another internet sites, only will be used to make a personal and didactic powerpoint presentation and some paper prints. Can I get your approval? Best regards, and thank for all!
Thank you all for the kind compliments. Yes Katana you are welcome to make use of my pictures. I am flattered and glad that they will be used to show others these magnificent machines of sound and mechanics. I appreciate your asking permission.
