Well it's not the Silver one that Marty had in the movie, but I think I actually like the red one better, because this one is mine and I think the red one looks sharp. I replaced the belt and it plays GREAT, no problems. I suppose I shouldn't use such a rare walkman regularly but I just love listening to it. I've gone through a lot of AAA batteries this week. Once my excitement goes back to normal this baby will join the rest of my walkmans, but I think this one will always be the heart of the collection. But enough of my long winded speech. The angle of the light shows that there is a little marring and scratches. Maybe one day I'll find a NIB...wishful thinking.

This is one of our favorites, indeed a great find. I always found it odd that Aiwa chose to use AAA batteries for many of their units.

Don't be put off by BTTF mania, this is still a very desirable unit. The P02 came in 12 different oclours, I've only seen red, silver and gold. Imagine finding a yellow or green one.

That red one does look sharp.

I do have a Question. Is this model an older P02 MKII or is it a later one? Because some of the similar models (F07, P07, and other P02 mkII) have bold "Auto Reverse", on the front, instead of the more blended "A.R." that this model has. I'm guessing the later ones aren't bold because the Serial # on this one is 551174.

i have seen yours on the web-site. i think it is the only one pictured. i spent a long time looking for another one. the condition of yours is very close to the one i have. other than a touchy tuner it works well.
