Panasonic RQ-S95 with wireless remote

This one my favorite out of most of the Panasonic I have, but couldn't figure out why they made a remote for this, after all if you are using the walkman, it going to be right in front of you!! Why the remote? But do love the autohold system

Very nice! I am hoping to get one of these small Panasonics sometime - I had no idea they even existed! The only ones I'd seen were big clunky ones, like the XBS series.

I agree on the remote - I never quite understood the fascination with the remotes (wired or not) in general. To me it feels like it's just one more thing to have to mess around with, and I rarely use them. I'd much prefer to use the controls right on the unit. But I must admit, the wireless setup is pretty posh!

The remote control was designed to allow the user to stow the tape player/radio in a bag or pocket while walking or in transit. It gave quick access to the control of volume (most important) and basic tape transport and radio functions.

A truly great and unique player. I too love the panasonic line best. I dont believe many members understand the the AUTO HOLD SYSTEM. If you look closely surrounding the four function buttons on the player a non conductive material separates button from player surface. If player is in pocket if button is depressed it will not work. The player must complete a electrical signal that crosses through the finger touching the metal of player AND BUTTON same time. Very kewl feature instead of a hold button of slide cover over logic controls. I believe Panasonic only mfg. to offer this great system. Thus ONLY human skin touching both player control surface ( dull chrome area plate around function buttons) and button same time will allow logic controls to function !
I have the RQ-S75 with same fantastic feature.

The SX75 version is nice, the only one I liked out of the SX series, it useds two small belts to keep the belt from wearing down. the only problem with this model is the plastic compression ring that they used to hold down the pressure reel for the clutch gear, which crack and pop out, but is a easy fix just epoxy together or get a new one, they have metal ones.

What model is the blue Panasonic on the top?

HY!
I just registered, because i have an rq-SX72 and it doesn't can switch between sides and the sound of it is quaky and shaky during play.
The question is, may be the reason for that the plastic compression ring, what you're talking about and what broked or something else.
sorry for my english, i just learning... Smile
thanks

It's the ring, when you take the cover off becarefull there a little spring that you don't want to loose.
