Sizes of the 2 are almost identical. Yes I must do a comparison. Not too tricky as both are in use at home right now, so I don't have to dig either one out of storage.

btw, most of those pics above are in the 'base...

I do think I need one also!

Oh yes, I did find the zx-7 rather huge compared
to my other miniboomboxes!

Total sex........This is the reason I like boomboxes, not because of their sound, which is subpar compared to real home audio, but because of the creativity of the designers. Companies that hire good industrial designers will acheive more sales, period. Look at Apple. Performance alone isn't enough. I know a lot of people here chase after the biggest-booming "holy grails", but personally I think most of them are ugly.

I love the indented speaker grills of that thing, complete with red pinstripes. Also the way the tape buttons are recessed into the body. What tops it off though are the green equalizer keys......total pimp.
