Huh! The first walkman ever made? I'm impressed how modern it yet looks. I guess it's definately a keeper!

The Sony TPS-L2 was the first portable stereo marketed as a 'Walkman'.

Not entirely true Kristi - Walkman's weren't disscontinued, in fact, they still make them. The MP3 didn't actually 'take over', it's a different tool. Fads change, the popularity of the portable CD player brought about the demise of the Walkman if the truth be known.
