Just when I try to list and 'lessen' my collection I see something I can't resist and learn my 'lesson' that I can't stop...
Launched in July 1986 the wm-60 priced at 21,000 Yen was a must have for people who wanted to 'adjust' music to their liking....a 5 band equalizer model with TWO headphone sockets
I've seen the black and the silver versions and was stunned to see, drool over and finally win a RED
I did have a silver one once, but it is gone now
The red one does appear on ebay.de often!
I guess we can always get your silver wm60 back...watch out in Jan or say as AO mentioned
me neither as I keep finding these things
as i unpack more of these places
that I have hidden from myself
of my own stuff

Doc, I've always loved the looks of the WM-60. I was never quite sure where this unit sat in the Sony range, too mechanical & plasticky to be a top drawer unit but too metal-cased & feature laden to be a budget unit.
I have a black one & a silver one, sadly I won't be keeping them.
DM4U, not sure how your post relates to this topic?
I too love this walkman. Real middle of the road stuff indeed - not top draw but not a cheapie either.
I bought one when new & it was a trusty companion to me for yours. I literally wore it out with use...
Sad to hear you'll be losing yours Cris. I thought you'd at least keep one of each notable Sony?
The red WM-60 looks very pretty-and has a brushed metal like effect.
5 band EQ must be a great way to fine-tune the sound to your liking,
And in the bottom photo:are those a set of Sony MDR earphones in a carry case?

The one at the back right seems to be from 2000-2004-as it uses the current WALKMAN logo.
