...a Westinghouse! (That was their '50's/'60's slogan.) Actually, I'm not sure about this one. It's not really a walkman (no stereo, no radio), but an early, big & clunky, Japan-made, portable cassette recorder.
It's a TMC-2025. Handwriting on the owner's guide says Feb 5,'72. Plays and records just fine. (Small needle level indicator is fun.) Also came with case, mic, and instructions. A little expensive (for a thrift store find) @ $24.99, especially with a few paint rubs on the speaker side, but still a nice add to the collection, I think.
Congrats bb, nice find! In the first pic it looks like a walkie-talkie. No mistaking that chunky, solid 1970's build though. The Ampex 672 is a nice bonus.
That is a realy nice and old one!
I have a similar somewhere, I did not take
a picture yet, I will do so this evening!
The microphone is nice also and the pouch
What is that miniboombox there on the right??
Thanks guys! I like it, but in a chunky sort of way.
Nicolle, I'm anxious to see a photo of the one you have that's similar.
The miniboombox is just a radio that looks like a boombox. That's why I don't keep it with my real boomboxes. It's an Americana 2220. A cheap thrift store find. (I'll take anything I can get!) Here's a better photo:
I will post a picture tomorrow when I wake up
again from sleeping
It is a Sunrise pocket cassette recorder
You mini is really really nice!, and only
3.95
, is it microcassette?
Oh yes, thank you for the nice picture!!
