* A Walkman’s World Tour *

Lucky me! I found a WM-F65 at the American eBay that seemed to be in good condition.
Unfortunately, the vendor didn’t want to sell and post it to Europe.
I decided to buy it anyway and to have it sent to my sister in law’s boyfriend who is currently working
 in California/ Stanford.
A few weeks later he and the precious WM travelled to Madrid to meet my SiL who then took it home
to Cambridgeshire. After a few weeks in beautiful C., SiL and WM came to Berlin for a family reunion,
and now the WM-F65 is another star in my collection.
After replacing the old drive belt and a bit of cleaning of the parts inside we get along like a house on fire.
All in all, the WM-F65 travelled app. 11900 km or 7400 miles. Here are some stops en route:
The only fly in the ointment:
I need the battery cover and the belt clip for this model – Can anyone help me there?

I have a red one I got for $5, but very sadly it is a parts unit as it had internal saltwater damage. I can post a picture of its belt clip later, May be similar to belt clips from other Walkmans...

Thanks, please let me see the picture. Maybe can i get this one?

Here's what my unit and its belt clip looks like. Hope these pictures may help.

As you can see I did not bother to even close the unit up but at least it's complete. The unit itself is in terrible condition, but the red body is rather intact.

My belt clip is in decent condition and is a slide on type.

In the last photo you can see the extent of the saltwater damage.

That's a real shame.  Those red ones are hard to find.

Great story about the trek of the Walkman.  I'm sure there's a great story or stories behind every walkman.

Just found an Dark grey/brown F65 for the same price. Changed belt and it is good to go. Radio is quite outstanding. If I wanted to, I could also swap the cases with the dead red one and have a different color...

Is the red case more rare? If so that would be cause to change case's

I believe you can also look at the WM-F15, which seems to be quite identical, save for recording.
