Ain't no party like an HS-TX00 party

Presenting the HS-T600a and the HS-T700.

the T600a came out in 1987 for $165, where I purchased one in 1988 for $20/mo on layaway. (for those midwesterners out there I worked at Whitey's ice cream)

The HS-T700 was released in 1988 for $160.

I suppose I could have gotten a Koss or a Yorx or a Craig, or another GE- but I wanted the style and sound of that there AIWA. Back then I knew somewhere between jack and squat about the models. I didn't even look at a Sony WM-F200 or WM-F100III. My best friend had an AIWA HS-G08 and I had to *try* to one up. Scarce as the HS-G08 is, I'd still take the HS-T600, even if it didn't have a remote.

I like the HS-T700 and don't see too many of them. I'm on the hunt for an HS-T800, which by appearances keeps the circle motif from the HS-T600.

I wonder if there was an HS-T1000 'Terminator' special edition (get it, the Terminator model in T2 was 'T1000'? anyone? no? tough crowd).
