Wow that poor thing.  I bet it would still work though with a new belt.  I have one also in poor condition but I was able to get it working.  I love a good working vintage walkman, even if it doesn't look the best, cosmetic condition isn't everything .  Thank you for sharing.

I was the one who sold CoraFan his walkman. In fact, it's not so hard to discover that it was the j08 I announced I wanted to sell on the auction section of this forum.

I know that this my auction is something private between he and me, but I'm trying to give some good stuff for this community and also trying to not have bad reputation, of course. So I thought I have to clarify this.

In my auction I described this walkman as "for parts", "not working", with "poor condition", "a lot of scratches and cracks" and with "traces of rust". Also, I tried to use good photos that show the real state of it, where it can clearly be seen that it has cracks, scuffs, etc...

I contacted CoraFan inmediately after seen his post and I think we had clarified the situation. He didn't read or understand completely the description and seems that he didn't look carefully the images.
In fact, he told me that he is using an automated translator because I believe that he does not know english. I suggested him to use a good translator, like google's one, and I could understand much better his last private messages.

And that's all.

BTW:being won for only 5 euros this J08 I don't think he can't be annoyed at all... If I knew I have to sell it for so low I won't sell it at all; I'd prefer to keep for parts.

Hallo Jens,

(corry?)

Hi Jens,

I'm not sure if you're trying to say that you did not understand clearly my auction's description...

Me (and I think many others members) don't understand german and we do use translators like google's one, but still is difficult to understand. German-english translation is not so good.

It's good that you post your original german message, allowing us to translate, but it would be nice if you post also the translated text.

For helping in this task I think it will be nice if you use short sentences, writing like telegrams. This way, translators work better. It's a good idea that you write your own message in the translator webpage, while you see how it's translated to another languaje that you know (french, maybe?). Doing so, you can check how good the translator is working. I usually write in english while I see how it's displayed in spanish (this way I know that translator do process properly my sentences).

It would be better of someone that understand german and english help us to understand... (corry?)
