Excellent work. Wow, that TPS-L2 is indeed brand new! Even the batteries and still sealed... :-O
Where did you find such a rare box?

Hi Hugo, Hi Brutus. Thanks for your words. This Walkman I bought in 2009 in an Argentina internet site like eBay, mercadolibre.com.ar. I remember in the advise said "brand new". But I never thought I really was so "brand new". I paid near u$s 40.

stumm7, you know I am first in line to buy this !

Single most important Walkman to have if you are a collector and you have the best of best. Even the box looks like it was frozen in time just out of the factory. Truly a find of a lifetime and for what you paid ... well I will take ten for that price ;-) Cherish it. Display it and sometimes sneak a use of it ;-)

It's nice but this is quite a statement John. More important than a NIB green solar or Princess Diana's WM-T701?

Stumm7,
You are extremely lucky to find such a piece of masterpiece in brand new condition! Would like to request a small favor, are you able to share a higher resolution picture of the front box cover, (the guy and gal skating with the walkman). Cause I want to make a poster out of it. Thanks.

I understand John, but maybe he exaggerated a little bit. The importance of this units does not come for being the most rare or expensive, AO, but for being the first walkman known as "walkman".
I'd like to have the very first one 'freezed it time', the real 1st gen of the TPS-L2: whether the Stowaway, Freestyle or Soundabout:
